Sheriff Records handles reports and FOIA routing at 309-937-3616. Communications and non-emergency dispatch use 309-937-3911 and operate around the clock. Civil Process is available weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 309-937-3970. Emergency calls belong with 911.
Use the channel that matches the record or custody stage:
- For a county booking record or releasable photo, review the Henry County arrest and records path, then contact Sheriff Records or submit the official sheriff FOIA form.
- For a person arrested within the same-day window, call Henry County Jail and compare the result with Arrests Last 24 Hours.
- For a multi-day report, use the originating police agency, Sheriff Records, or the county police blotter sources.
- For custody or release alerts, use Illinois VINELink and confirm urgent status questions with the jail.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Illinois Department of Corrections offender search. IDOC is not the county booking custodian.
- For a federal prisoner or immigration detainee, use the federal BOP or ICE locator. Those systems are separate from Henry County Jail.
- For court filings or disposition, contact the Circuit Clerk at 307 W Center St, Cambridge, IL 61238, phone 309-937-3572.
Elaine Helg is the sheriff FOIA officer. The county FOIA page and official request form provide the active submission route. Ask Records for the current format and fee before assuming a charge. A court search fee, civil-process fee, and sheriff records cost are not interchangeable.
